A pipeline with capacity to transfer 440,000 barrels of oil per day will be inaugurated by March 2012 in southwest of Iran, IRNA news agency reported.
The pipeline, originating from the city of Abadan and reaching the city of Mahshahr will transfer sour crude and oil products. Its construction operations started eight years ago.
Currently, over 13,000 kilometers of the oil pipelines are in operation across the country, which should be expanded to 16,500 kilometers by 2015 according to a five-year development plan.
