Auto imports drop 10 percent in Iran

This year, Iran has imported 10 percent fewer passenger vehicles (35,405) than it did last year, the Iranian Students' News Agency (ISNA) reports.

The imported automobiles' value this year (Iran's solar year ends on March 20) was $740 million, nearly 10 percent less than the $822 million last year.

With nearly $337 million in imports, South Korea is Iran's biggest automobile provider. The United Arab Emirates is second with almost $283 million in imports and Oman is third with nearly $37 million in sales.
