The second round of parliamentary elections began in Iran at 08:00 local time today, which will continue until 18:00, IRINN reported.
According to the law, the parliamentary elections must last 10 hours, but if there is a need, the interior minister may extend the voting time.
Overall, 130 candidates from 33 constituencies of Iran will participate in the elections.
Among 130 candidates, 65 will be elected into the country's parliament.
The parliamentary elections of the VIII convocation were held on March 14, 2008. Ali Larijani is the chairman of the Parliament which consists of 290 members.
The first meeting of the Iranian parliament is planned to be held on the seventh date of Khordad month 1391 in Islamic calendar (May 27, 2012).
