The Iranian Offshore Engineering and Construction Company (IOEC) is importing 32-inch gas pipelines for transferring soar gas although similar pipelines are produced by domestic manufacturers, an Iranian official said.
Mohammad Rostami told the ISNA News Agency that according to previous agreement with the oil ministry, 500 kilometers length of the pipelines had been projected to be provided by domestic manufacturers and 400 kilometers had been planned to be imported.
However, it seems that all of the pipelines will be imported.
"Low quality imported pipelines from Germany and India have been problematic from the domestic manufacturers," he said.
