Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseinin said that imposed sanctions by the West against his Ministry is astonishing and nuclear energy has turned into a pretext for the West, IRNA reported.
Hosseini said in the closing ceremony of the 6th Movie Festival of Truth here on Saturday evening that holding such festivals, in spite of all economic limitations, would be a good beginning for the 31st Fajr Film Festival.
The minister added that imposing sanctions against Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance by the West is astonishing, because the ministry supports art and cultural products and continuation of such behavior by the West indicates that nuclear energy is only a pretext for them.
He said that receiving movies from 70 countries in this festival shows dynamism of Iran's cinema.
He also praised cooperation of Ministry of Sciences, Researches and Technology for displaying documentary movies in universities.
The 6th Truth Movie Festival was held in Tehran from November 3 to 10, 2012.
