In a meeting on November 14 with Iranian medal winners of the 2018 Asian Para Games, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei addressed local economic problems and sports championships’ potential contributions to the matters at hand, ILNA reported.
Khamenei considered the earning of six medals in swimming by disabled athletes an inspiring example of putting the country’s hidden potentials to work.
According to Khamenei, neglecting the country’s abundant resources and capacities is one of the main problems this nation is grappling with.
If these potentials are used properly, numerous financial problems will surely be resolved, he added.
The third Asian Para Games was held in Jakarta, Indonesia from October 6-13, 2018. Around 3000 athletes from 43 countries took part in the event.
