BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 6. Iran has exported 710 million euros worth of oil-related equipment under the current Iranian government (the current Iranian government has been in power since August 2021), chairman of the Iranian Association of Oil Industry Equipment Manufacturers, Ehsan Saqafi said, Trend reports.
According to him, this is about 10 percent of Iran's production potential in this field.
Saqafi continued, predicting a 100 percent rise in Iran's oil industry equipment exports over the next two years.
The official stated that Iran's Petroleum Industry Equipment Manufacturers Association can produce many types of equipment in oil, gas, refining, and petrochemical fields.
Meanwhile, the value of Iran's crude oil exports in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024) was approximately $35.9 billion.
Aside from that, Iran currently has 74 oil fields and 22 gas fields in operation.
The South Oil Zones National Company of Iran operates 37 oil fields, the Central Oil Zones Company of Iran operates 14, the Arvandan Oil and Gas Production Company operates 5, and the Offshore Oil Company operates 18. Moreover, the South Oil Zones National Company of Iran operates 5 gas fields, the Central Oil Zones Company operates 13, Pars Oil and Gas Company operates 1, and the Offshore Oil Company operates 3.
Moreover, Iran's total hydrocarbon reserves are 1.2 trillion barrels. Iran can produce 340 billion barrels of this gas with existing technological equipment. Iran can use about 30 percent, while 70 percent remains unused underground.
