U.N. Secretary-General regrets not solving Cyprus issue

(zaman) - U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan expressed regret over his failure to end a decades-long dispute over the divided Cyprus during his 10 years as secretary-general, reports Trend.

Annan issued an explanation in the report he prepared for U.N. Security Council that both sides have to show goodwill in order to get rid of the deep mutual distrust and suspicion of each other's true motives.
