Iran's housing gas usage ups 4 times

Iran's housing gas consumption level reached 475 million cubic meters per day (mcm/d) on Dec.14, which is nearly four times more than in early November, Majid Boujarzadeh, spokesman of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) told Fars news agency.

Daily gas consumption by various sectors in Iran amounted for 634 million cubic meters for 24 hours of Dec. 14, he said.

He went on to add that it's expected that the housing gas consumption level will reach 500 mcm/d in the coming days, while industrial and power sectors consumed 83 mcm/d and 77 mcm/d during Dec.14.

This is while Iran said that Dec.6 that the amount of gas consumed by domestic, trade and small industrial units in the mentioned day hit 456 million cubic meters and industrial and power sectors consumed 98 mcm/d and 97 mcm/d of gas, respectively.

Iran's average daily gas consumption since March 21 amounted to about 456 mcm/d.

Iran also produced 110 billion cubic meters of sweet gas since March 2015, which is 5 bcm more than in the same period in last year.
