Russian gas company Gazprom is ready to invest in Iran's gas industry, Mojtaba Sheikh Bahaei, deputy head of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), said.
In a meeting of Gazprom's representatives with the NIGC in Tehran, the Russian company expressed its readiness to invest in the gas industry, Bahaei said, Iranian Oil Ministry's SHANA news agency reported May 31.
Gazprom also proposed a master plan for gas supply to impassable areas in Iran, he added.
The next meeting of the Iranian and Russian sides is expected to be held in Russia, where they will discuss cooperation in various fields.
