The Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) index rose by 184 points on June 21 to hit 72,799.

According to the TSE official website, 924 million shares worth $57.7 million were dealt in 60,109 transactions.

The TSE has recently shown a volatile performance as its main index reached 76,413 on April 20 and gradually experienced heavy losses over the month closing at 72,615 on June 20.

In general, over the past three months since the start of the new Iranian year on March 20, the TSE main index has performed negatively.

The downward trend in the TSE came following an extremely positive reaction to the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) Jan. 16, which resulted in the removal of the nuclear-related sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic’s key energy and financial sectors.
