Iran plans to start 15,000 barrels per day (b/d) of oil production from Azer field by March 2016.
The figure would double by March 2017 and finally reach 60,000 b/d by January 2018, Shana quoted Nouraddin Shahnazizadeh, the managing director of Matn Company, which operates the field.
Azer is one of Iran’s joint fields with Iraq, with 2.5 billion barrels in-situ oil reserves.
