Iran’s output of red meat over the past fiscal year (ended March 20) increased by 7.9 percent compared to 2013/14.
Iran produced 815,000 tons of red meat over the past year, IRNA news agency reported.
The country’s output of red meat stood at 755,000 tons in 2013/14, the report added.
In the meantime, Iran’s output of milk increased by 15 percent to reach 9.510 million tons over the past year.
Poultry output saw a 4.8 percent growth to reach 2.062 million tons from 1.967 million tons in 2013/14.
Egg production also increased by 5.2 percent to post 940,000 tons over the last year.
