Oil products export via Iranian ports falls

Iran’s Ports and Maritime Organization has loaded and unloaded more than 3.788 million tons of oil products at its ports across the country over the last Iranian calendar month ending Oct. 22.

According to the latest data available on the organization’s website, the figure has increased by 2.2 percent year-on-year compared to 4.085 million tons of oil products load, unloaded in the same month of the preceding year.

The data indicates that 1.689 million tons of oil products were unloaded at Iranian ports, 13.9 percent more year-on-year.

Meanwhile 2.098 million tons of oil products were loaded in the ports, which was 5.7 percent less compared to the 1-month period of the preceding year.

In general, over 27.8 million tons of oil products have been loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports during the current fiscal year (started March 20), indicating a 6.4 percent fall year-on-year.

According the report, 10 ports including Abadan, Imam Khomeini, Amirabad, Anzali, Bushehr, Chabahar, Shahid Bahonar, Shahid Rajaei, Fereydunkenar and Qeshm were involved in oil products loading/unloading during the period.

Iranian ports saw loading and unloading of a total of 11.859 million tons of various goods and commodities, including food and metal products between Sept. 22 and Oct. 22.
