The following is a numbered list of news on latest economic developments in the Islamic Republic of Iran, as of 12:00 GMT, Jan. 15, on IRINN TV.

1. 12:02 GMT – Valiollah Seif, the governor of the Central Bank of Iran, has said that the country’s banks have been authorized to allocate loans to the individuals for the renovation of residential units.

2. 12:04 GMT – Government Trading Corporation of Iran has purchased 50,000 tons of sugar from domestic factories over the past two weeks.

3. 12:05 GMT – Report on the rate of foreign currencies in the Iranian market. Euro was traded at 53,846 rials in the free market. The official rate of US dollar was 36,511rials and it was traded at 43,643 rials in the free market.

4. 12:06 GMT – Report on the prices of gold in Iranian market. Gold coin was traded at 14,925,000 rials (about $341.9 according to the currency rate in free market). One gram of the 18-karat gold was priced at 1,402,000 rials (about $32.1).

5. 12:06 GMT – The main index of Tehran Stock Exchange reached 97,944 points.

6- 12:07 GMT – Report on the prices of home-made cars.

7. 12:08 GMT – Iran has exported worth of $39 million of clothing items over the first nine months of the current fiscal year.

9. 12:09 GMT – Ahwaz steel company is expected to increase its capacity by one million tons over the next year.

10. 12:11 GMT – The south-western province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad produces 14,000 tonsof various types of fish including sturgeon fish per year.
