Performance of Iran’s gold & currency markets on Jan. 24

Gold coin was traded in Iran at 15,235,000 rials (about $352 on the free market rates) on Jan.24.

According to data on the website of the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union, one gram of the 18-karat gold was priced at 1,453,060 rials (about $33.5), indicating a rise of 0.72 percent compared to the preceding day.

According to the country’s real-time data sharing system, SANA, euro valued 56,462 rials on the free market, dropping by 0.07 percent. The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of euro at 45,243 rials.

The USD was quoted at 45,391 rials on the free market losing 0.05 percent compared to the preceding day. The CBI put the official rate for the greenback at 36,721 rials.
