Performance of Iran’s gold & currency markets on Feb. 6

Gold coin was traded in Iran at 15,265,000 rials (about $330.4 at the free market rates) on Feb. 6.

According to data on the website of the Tehran Gold and Jewelry Union, one gram of the 18-karat gold was priced at 1,481,460 rials (about $32), indicating a drop of 0.14 percent compared to the preceding day.

According to the country’s real-time data sharing system, SANA, euro valued 58,554 rials in the free market, losing 0.65 percent. The Central Bank of Iran (CBI) put the official rate of euro at 45,681 rials.

The USD was quoted at 46,188 rials in the free market giving up 1.46 percent compared to the preceding day. The CBI put the official rate for the greenback at 36,952 rials.
