Weekly performance of Iran’s equity market

The main index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) dropped 1.12 percent or 1101.4 points to rest at 96860.3 over the past Iranian week to March. 9.
According to the TSE official website, the index of the first market lost 1.24 percent or 863 points to stand at 68709 points on the last trading day of the week on Wednesday.
The index of the second market gave up 0.92 percent or 1922 points to post 206756.
The trade value in this period decreased by 18 percent to rest at 14.4 trillion rials (about $322.7 million at free market rates).
In the meantime, the number of traded shares grew by 28 percent to reach 6.3 trillion.
