Frozen Brazilian beef to be offered at Iran’s Mercantile Exchange

Iran’s Mercantile Exchange (IME) will trade frozen Brazilian beef ‎ supplied by West Food, São Paulo, Brazil-based trading company active in export of agricultural products, different types of live animals and frozen red and white meat.

The IME said in a statement that it has agreed to host offering of over 500 tons of frozen beef in its side market.

The frozen beef produced in Brazil will be offered by Zarin Jam Farjam Company‎, the statement reads.

The IME was founded in 2007. It trades in agricultural, industrial and petrochemical products in spot and futures markets. There are 70 listed brokerage companies in IME who are members of the exchange licensed by the market regulator, the Securities and Exchange Organization.
