Electricity is the best export item to support Iran’s national interests, Iranian Deputy Energy Minister Homayoun Haeri said, IRNA reported.
He said that in the power industry, raw materials are converted into electricity and exported. Therefore, income from electricity is the most valuable, he noted.
“We have outlined 10 directions in order to make changes to the electricity industry development prospects, and one of the directions is to increase energy production without using fossil fuels,” he said.
He added that another direction is to support the private sector and make maximum use of the existing financial capacity and potential.
