In the first half of the current Iranian year (started March 21), Iran's shoe exports amounted to $62 million showing a 54 percent increase, Mehr News Agency reported citing the Iran Customs Administration.
Some 13,402 tons of shoes were exported during the period and this indicates a 3 percent growth.
During the same period last year, 7,778 tons of footwear and related items worth $40 million were exported.
According to the statistics of the Iran Customs Administration, the worth of non-oil exports in the first six months of the current year was over $23.12 billion.
