By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:

More than 700,000 barrels of gas condensate produced by Iran's Ilam Gas Processing Plant were sold through the Energy Exchange in the first half of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018), Habib Qaysari, head of the department at the Ilam Gas Processing Plant, said in an interview with IRNA.

Qaysari said that the Ilam Gas Processing Plant produces 7,500 barrels of gas condensate per day.

But as the petrochemical plant was not put into operation, this product is sold to the country's local processing companies via the tanker through the Energy Exchange, he added.

He said that the plant uses new methods to protect water resources.

Qaysari added that 25,000 tons of liquefied gas were produced in the first half of this Iranian year, which is about 280 percent more compared to the same period of last year.
