BAKU, Azerbaijan, Oct. 22

By Elnur Baghishov - Trend:

Over the past six years, goods worth about $120 billion have been exported via Iran’s free trade zones, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Iran’s Free Trade, Industrial and Special Economic Zones Morteza Bank said, Trend reports referring to IRIB.

Bank noted that opportunities have been created for businessmen in Iran’s free trade zones to increase production and exports while reducing production barriers.

The secretary added that exports volumes depend on local production, as it is possible to increase exports if the domestic production increases.

Noting that Iran has 15 neighbor countries, Bank said that close relations were established with Afghanistan, Iraq and Turkey in the field of cooperation, trade and export.
