The number of workshops which are operating with social insurance are more than 24,100 in the Markazi Province of Iran, said Mohammad Taghi Abaee Havaze, head of deparment of Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour, and Social Welfare in Markazi province, Trend reports citing IRNA.
According Abaee Havaze, more than 8,190 shops have 1 worker, more than 4,500 shops have 2 workers, and more than 2,500 enterprises have 11-50 workers.
Abaee Havaze added that more than 50 workers work in 751 enterprises.
The official said that the number of compulsory insured workers exceeded 206,000.
"The minimum wage in the Markazi province has been increased from 15.1 million rials (about $361) to 18.3 million rials (about $437)," he said.
Iran's Markazi province has 12 districts and a population of more than 1.4 million. There are about 3,000 large, medium and small industrial enterprises in the province.
