Iran's three-month foreign trade volume announced

The value of Iran's foreign trade amounted to $13.9 billion during the first three months of the current Iranian year (March 20-June 20, 2020), Director General of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) Mehdi Mirashrafi said, Trend reports citing IRICA.

The director general emphasized that Iran's non-oil exports amounted to 21.9 million tons worth $6.36 billion during the period.

Mirashrafi added that Iran's exports fell by 43.98 percent in terms of value compared to the same period last Iranian year.

According to him, the exported products were mainly gasoline, natural gas, propane gas, polyethylene and other products.

Mirashrafi noted that the products were mainly exported to China, Iraq, the UAE, Afghanistan and Turkey.

"During three months, Iran imported 8.92 million tons of products worth $7.62 billion. The imports decreased by 26.86 percent in terms of value compared to the same period last Iranian year," he said.

Mirashrafi said that the country imported corn feed for animals, wheat, mobile phones, rice, beans and other products.

“The products were mainly imported from China, the UAE, Turkey, India and Russia,” he said.
