Iran has launched the single-window business system to improve the business environment and ease the start of new businesses, board member of Iran's Chamber of Commerce Gholamhossein Jamili told Trend.
"Normally it was necessary for new businesses to obtain permits from different organizations," he said. "Some organizations didn't have proper access to other organizations, so all this took time."
"The single-window business system can provide access to various organizations and accelerate the work of businesses and finalize their establishment," he said.
"Another advantage of the single-window business system is to reduce applicant's physical presence in an organization to obtain permits that is normally very time consuming. It would also reduce the inner city travels that is necessary to avoid during the coronavirus spread," he said.
The Islamic Republic of Iran only announced its first infections and deaths from the coronavirus on Feb. 19. The pandemic hit a wide range of businesses in Iran since its outbreak in mid-February.
"Individuals can use the single-window business system to visit different organizations at once online. It may have not been so significant in the past, but today, because of the coronavirus, it is very important. So these changes could have positive results," he said.
"The other important issue is the competitive business environment in Iran and in the world, there is a need to improve businesses environment. One of the instruments to do so is single-window business system that can help accelerate work," he said.
