Direct investment in capital market supports production in Iran - Securities and Exchange Organization

Director investment on capital market in last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020) was $59 billion, said Securities and Exchange Organization.

"The following figure is a considerable figure in financial resources and role of capital market in the country's economy. Investment and people's micro resources in capital market would support production process," said Dehghan Dehnavi, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency

"There have been major changes in country's capital market and the volume of the capital of stock companies obtained from the capital market was considerably large in past two years. The supervision on market and its transparency would increase to encourage people to invest in the capital market," he noted.

"All companies have the possibility to use the resources of the capital market including the sale of debt securities on the capital market. Specialized markets such as Iran Energy Exchange(IRENEX), and Iran Mercantile Exchange are expected to provide resources for trade, supplying inputs and sale of commodities produced by domestic industries," he added.

Dehnavi stressed that the capital market aims to provide finance for small and medium-sized businesses by using specialized instruments.
