Iran reviving its stagnant production, industrial units

Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade of Iran Ali Rasoulian said the government plans to revive over 1,600 production and industrial units, Trend reports via IRNA.

"Last Iranian year (March 2020 to March 2021), over 1,557 stagnant production and industrial units in the country's towns and industrial zones were revived which led to creation of 27,000 jobs,” Rasoulian said, during a visit to Khorasan Razavi Province.

"Revival of stagnant units has been on the agenda for the past several years,” he said.

He went on to say that 5,000 hectares of industrial land in the country have been transferred to the private sector.

Pointing to Iran`s economic growth during sanctions and COVID-19, he said that in the home appliance industry, Iran reached a twofold growth in production this year, compared to the preceding year.
