Iran, Denmark to develop co-op in earth sciences

In a virtual meeting of officials of the Geological Surveys of Iran and Denmark, the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of earth science and the use of high-tech and satellite technologies was emphasized.

Due to climate change, the whole world, especially Iran, encounters issues such as drinking water supply, drought, floods, and earthquakes, the head of the Geological and Mineral Exploration Organization, Alireza Shahidi said, Trend reports citing IRNA.

He expressed hope that Iran would cooperate with Denmark in the use of high-tech and satellite technologies.

"In 2009, the two countries formed cooperation, but during the last years it stopped, and now there is an opportunity and potential to re-start a new cooperation,” the Danish Ambassador to Iran, Jesper Vahr said while expressing satisfaction with the cooperation between the two GS organizations.
