Iran and Finland emphasized to develop cooperation in geological and mine science fields, during a webinar with heads of Iranian and Finnish geological organizations, Trend reports via IRNA.
"Development and boosting bilateral cooperation with Finland in all fields is the goal of Iranian government," said Iranian ambassador in Finland Frouzandeh Vadiati.
"Finnish geological organization has knowledge regarding use of geological resources. This knowledge could confront global challenges, related to sustainable development, recycling economy, clean water and energy and climate change ," said Vadiati.
Meanwhile, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Alireza Shahidi said at the seminar that Iran is dealing with various problems such as providing drinking water and water for agriculture.
"Drought, floods, landslides and dust storms are the problems the country is facing," said Shahidi.
"Iran will be able to go through these problems via scientific cooperation both regionally and internationally," he added.
