BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 6. The first international conference on PHC (primary health care) UHC (universal health coverage) through family health program was held in Tehran on March 5, Trend reports.
As part of the conference, Iran's Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education Bahram Eynollahi met with Tajikistan's Minister of Health Abdullozoda Jamoliddin.
At the meeting, the Iranian Minister of Health said that Iran and Tajikistan have developed joint programs in the fields of health, treatment, and medical education. Examples of such programs include organizing joint scientific conferences and conducting joint research.
According to Eynollahi, Iran is ready to export its medical equipment and medicines to Tajikistan, as well as to produce conventional medicines in Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the Tajik Health Minister stated that there is hope that cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran will further develop within the framework of programs regulated between the two countries.
"Tajikistan wants to produce medicines jointly with Iran," he said.
To note, the two-day First International Conference on Universal Health Coverage under the International Tertiary Health Program kicked off on March 5.
