BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. Non-oil trade turnover of Iran with Russia increased by 24.1 percent in value terms and 53.5 percent in weight terms in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through February 19, 2024) compared to the same period last year, the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.
According to the statistics, Iran's trade turnover with Russia for 11 months amounted to 5.16 million tons worth about $2.46 billion.
At the same time for the same period last year, Iran's trade turnover with Russia amounted to 3.36 million tons worth about $1.98 billion.
Statistics note that petrochemical products, agricultural products, tableware, industrial goods, raw silk, cotton, wood and lumber, etc. are the main products of exchange between the two countries.
Statistics indicate that Iran's trade turnover with Russia was about 318,000 tons worth $222 million in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (January 21-February 19, 2024).
According to the statistics of the Iranian Customs Administration, the country's trade turnover for 11 months totaled about 139 billion. The trade turnover increased in value terms by 2.7 percent compared to the same period last year.
