Iran's non-oil exports to Russia soar

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 12. Iranian non-oil exports to Russia increased by 26.5 percent in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through February 19, 2024) and by 55.2 percent by weight compared to the same period last year, the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.

According to the statistics, during the 11 months, Iran exported 1.98 million tons of non-oil products worth more than $851 million to Russia.

In the same period last year, Iran's non-oil product shipments to Russia amounted to about 1.28 million tons, valued at about $673 million.

The information indicates that Iran exported mainly agricultural products, petrochemical products, industrial products, and so on to Russia.

The statistics add that in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (January 21 - February 19, 2024), Iran's non-oil exports to Russia amounted to 91,000 tons valued at $156 million.

To note, according to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, Iran's exports of non-oil products amounted to about 125 million tons worth about $44.9 billion during the past 11 months. Iran's exports of non-oil products decreased by 8.87 percent in value terms and increased by 11.4 percent in weight terms.
