Deputy Foreign Minister in Arab and African Affairs said Iran would not wait for any international coalition to fight against terrorism and will act upon its responsibilities and in the framework of international regulations, IRNA reported.

According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department on Sunday, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian made the remarks in a meeting with Chairperson of French Parliament's Defense Committee Patricia Adam.

Referring to Iran's approach for holding talks and cooperation with France in international and regional issues and expressing uncertainty over the US approach for real fight against terrorism, Amir Abdollahian said selective approach of the US and the West in interaction with terrorist groups such as ISIS in Syria and Iraq was the most important reason for strengthening the groups and endangering stability and security in the region.

He added that Iran believes the best tactics for fight against ISIS and terrorism in the region is to assist and strengthen Iraqi and Syrian governments, which are really fighting against terrorism.

Chairperson of the French parliament's defense committee, by referring to Iran's important role and position in the regional peace and stability, underlined importance of dialogue with Iran in current important issues in the region of the Middle East for France and Europe and reminded that Iran and France, in spite of a number of differences in their political viewpoints, have commonalities in important issues, like fighting against terrorism and strengthening Iraqi government and can define cooperation fields in this concern.

She also rejected any interference out of the UN framework for fight against terrorism.

Developments in the Middle East and north Africa with concentration on fight against ISIS and terrorism and developments in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon were discussed in the meeting.
