Iran will not cooperate with "fake coalitions which aim to eliminate terrorism by air strikes and had a role in creation of the terrorist groups," the Islamic Republic's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said.

He made the remarks in a public session of parliament on Sept. 24 morning, Iran's official IRNA news agency reported.

"The US president's remarks about eradication of the roots of terrorism by the means of air strike are like a political joke," Larijani argued.

Air strikes will provoke more youth in the volatile regions to joint terrorist groups and will increase terrorism, he said.

The speaker called the anti terrorism coalition led by US to end their "hypocritical approach and let regional people decide their future."

He also criticized the US "unilateralism" in the international scene and its sanctions as well as "military interferences against sovereign states without taking a mandate from international bodies including the UN Security Council."
