Georgian President and Prime Minister Represent New Cabinet’s  Composition

N.Kirtskhalia / The Georgian President submitted the document to the Parliament to confirm Lado Gurgenidze appointment as Prime Minister and new composition of the Cabinet. The Cabinet's composition has not been changed. The Cabinet includes 4 State Ministers and 13 Ministers.

Kakh Lomaya, Secretary of the National Security Council

Giorgi Baramidze, State Minister on Euro integration ;

David Bakradze, State Minister on Regulation of Conflicts;

Kakh Bendukidze, State Minister on Reform Coordination;

Zinaida Bestayeva, State Minister in Civil Integration;

The Parliament was proposed to confirm the following persons' appointment as ministers: David Kezerashvili, Defense Minister,

Vano Merabishvili, Internal Ministry,

Gela Bejuashvili, Foreign Minister,

Eka Tkeshelashvili, Justice Minister,

Nika Gilauri, Finance Minister,

Giorgi Arveladzeh, Minister of Economy,

Alexander Khetaguri, Minister of Energy,

David Tkeshelashvili, Labour, Health and Social Protection Minister,

Petre Tsiskarishvili, Agricultural Minister,

David Chantladzeh, Environment Protection and Natural Resources Minister,

Bal Tsipuria, Education and Science Minister,

Giorgi Gabashvili, Culture and Sports Minister,

Kob Subeliani, Refugees and Settling Minister,

The new composition of the Government, which must be confirmed by the Parliament, was represented by Gia Khuroshvili, the Parliamentary Secretary of Georgia.

In compliance with the Georgian Constitution the Parliament should confirm the document within a week. The President will submit a new composition of the Cabinet if the government or governmental program not to be approved by the Parliament.

If the Parliament does not approve the composition of the Government or governmental program three times then the President submits a new candidature to the Prime Minister post within five days or appoints him without Parliament's approval.

Presently, the Georgian Government consists of the Prime Minister, 13 Ministers and 4 State Ministers.
