Voter turnout was 56.17% during the January 5 presidential election and plebiscites, Levan Tarkhnishvili, the chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) said.
"A total of 1,912,943 voters have turned out at polling stations, which is 56.17%," Tarkhnishvili said.
"We can state now that the elections have been held without any major violations that would have cast doubts over its fairness."
