Georgia, Tbilisi / corr. Trend N.Kirtskhalia/ Georgia hopes that Russia will show some common sense and will not recognize separatist regions of Georgia, David Bakradze, the foreign minister of Georgia said in Tbilisi on 12 March.
"The decision to recognize the independence of separatists will pose a danger to the Russia itself- from the south," the foreign minister said. "We hope that Russian MPs will show some common sense in this regard," Bakradze said.
On 13 March 2008, the Russian parliament will hold hearings regarding the recognition of self-declared Abkhazia and South Ossetia republics.
