Georgia, Tbilisi, 7 July / Trend corr N.Kirtskhalia/ David Darchiashvili, Chairman of Georgian Parliament's Committee for Eurointegration, takes a range of explosions in Abkhazia as an attempt to impact Upper Abkhazia. Darchiashvili said to journalists "Many people in Russia and in the separatist government want to impact Kodori. The statements proving that have been made many times so far."

Explosions are still underway. On 6 July, 4 explosions took place nearby Urta village during 10 minutes. As a result, four people died in a cafe located in the centre of Gali. Abkhazia blames Georgia's sabotage groups and special services of the terrorism acts. Abkhazians say Georgia wants to highlight inability of Russian peacekeepers and thus to justify its demand to replace peacekeeping format.

"There are forces which want to spread their influence over Upper Abkhazia and want to undermine the situation in Georgia. Russia cannot do this openly. Being a member of many international organizations, Russia cannot exert directly influence and tries to create excuse factors," said Darchiashvili.
