According to Ekaterine Tkeshelashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Russia will only be able to express its purposes regarding South Ossetia and Abkhazia with recognition of the two regions' independence, reported PNA.

Tkeshelashvili told journalists that Russia's one-sided recognition means nothing.

"Georgia's territorial integrity and borders of our country are recognized by UN and the whole international community. With this regard, one-sided recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia by Russia is nothing and it makes threat to Russia's international image", the Georgian Foreign Affairs Minister stated.

The Russian State Duma has unanimously recognized (with 130 votes) independence of self -recognized Abkhazia and South Ossetia at the special session on August 25.
