Georgia, Tbilisi, 23 October / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia/ Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Grigol Vashadze called
slander the reports on transfer of Georgia's anti-aircraft emplacements to Chechnya, which was disseminated by Russian media.
"No anti-aircraft
systems are exported from Georgia," he said at today's news conference.
"A special
international regime covers proliferation of this type armament, and we are in
this regime together with the countries from which we purchased this armament.
They are in control of their whereabouts. In agreements signed is stressed that
Georgia shall not give the weapons of this type to a third party," he said.
Vashadze called the reports slander and did not rule out that Russia is preparing for a regular provocation in Chechnya.
