Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili again granted Georgian citizenship to Bidzina Ivanishvili on Aug.8, 2005, a press secretary who decided to join Georgian billionaire's policy Irakli Tripolsky said in his blog.
According to Tripolsky, "Ivanishvili received Georgian citizenship in 2004 and that same year he lost it due to receiving French citizenship.
"After that, on Aug.8, 2005, according to the president's corresponding order Bidzina Ivanishvili was again granted Georgian citizenship. Currently, Ivanishvili is a Georgian citizen," Tripolsky said.
The Georgian Justice Ministry earlier announced that Ivanishvili is not a Georgian citizen due to the fact that it has lost it automatically when obtaining French citizenship.
