Tbilisi will host Europe Region Preparatory Process - Regional Preparatory Meeting in Hotel Radisson Blu Iveria on Nov.14-15, the Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus - REC Caucasus reported.
The Regional Preparatory Meeting is the part of the overall preparatory process for The 6th World Water Forum (WWF), to be held in Marseille in 2012.
The World Water Forum intends to strengthen the role of the Regional process (one of the four preparatory processes of the Forum) in order to implement a participative bottom-up approach, where regional stakeholders will play a key role in setting their own Targets and finding their "Solutions for water".
The main objectives of the Regional Preparatory Meeting to held in Tbilisi, are to share information on the background processes of preparation for the 6th World Water Forum, to identify a preliminary set of topics for "regional specificities", to undertake the designation of ad hoc working groups and to forecast a framework of activities to be carried out under the regional process until the Forum in Marseille.
The meeting is open by priority to all water administrations and organizations, interested in the Caucasus Countries or member and candidate countries of the European Union and of all the other countries of Eastern Europe.
