Georgian-British political consultations took place in London during the visit of Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze to the UK on Dec. 14-16.
Vashadze met with Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, William Hague, Minister of State for European Affairs David Lidington and some other government officials during the visit, the Georgian Foreign Ministry told Trend on Friday.
Vashadze thanked the secretary of state for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation for Great Britain support of Georgia in international organizations.
The British side reaffirmed its unequivocal support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia.
The sides also discussed priority areas of bilateral and multilateral relations.
