Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri met with local business people and acquainted them with the economic and investment situation in the country during his visit to Norway.
Speaking at an economic conference in Oslo, Gilauri spoke about the successes in the fight against corruption and those benefits for investors provided by Georgia.
Today Gilauri will discuss the cooperation in the energy sector with the Norwegian minister of energy.
"It is the only country in which all the electricity is produced by hydropower," Gilauri told journalists.
"It is a country that has vast experience of building hydroelectric power stations and most experienced energy companies in the world are in Norway. It is a country that is beginning to look towards Georgia, having become interested in its hydropower potential. One of the Norwegian companiesis already beginning to build hydropower plants in Georgia and is interested in investing in our country," Gilauri said.
