Candidates from the "Georgian Dream" coalition won the new elections to the Georgian Parliament, which was held in 11 polling stations on three single-seat constituencies.
The repeated parliamentary elections in Georgia were held on Sunday in the polling station No.5 in Sighnaghi, No.4 in Gori, and 9 polling stations in Khashuri. The elections were held after complaints of the "Georgian Dream" coalition.
As a result, according to the preliminary data of the CEC, Valery Gelashvili won in Khashuri, Gela Gelashvili - in Sighnaghi, while Vakhtang Vakhtangishvili - in Gori.
In the end, Georgian Dream gets 42 seats, and the United National Movement - 31 by single-seat constituencies. According to the party lists, around 45 members will join the Parliament from the Georgian Dream coalition, while 32 will be from the United National Movement. The Georgian Dream coalition receives 87 seats in the parliament, and the United National Movement - 63.
The CEC should submit the final vote count by Oct.20.
