The Imedi TV Company has been returned to the ownership of the family of late Georgian millionaire Badri Patarkatsishvili. Patarkatsishvili’s family said that Imedi has been returned as a result of the agreement reached with the last owner of the channel.

The Imedi TV Company has been returned to the ownership of the family of late Georgian millionaire Badri Patarkatsishvili. Patarkatsishvili's family said that Imedi has been returned as a result of the agreement reached with the last owner of the channel.

"We are pleased with the agreement reached with the current owners of Imedi and their decision to transfer the company to us," a family spokesperson said. The process of transferring has been launched today. We will make every effort for the channel to be highly professional and objective."

The Imedi TV Company was established by Georgian businessman Badri Patarkatsishvili.
It was the leading opposition media outlet in Georgia. Patarkatsishvili passed to opposition in 2007 and delivered Imedi's shares to News Corporation.
