October money transfers to Georgia amounted to $113.9 million, up $4.9 million or 4.5 per cent over the same period of 2011, the National Bank told Trend today.
Around $54.3 million was transferred from Russia in October, $11.1 million from Greece, $7.6 million from Italy, $5.5 million from the U.S, $3.5 million from Ukraine, $2.3 million from Turkey, $1.9 million from Spain, $1.4 million from Great Britain, $1.4 million from India, $1.3 million from Kazakhstan, $1.0 million from Israel and $1.0 million from Germany.
Around $11 million was transferred from Georgia to other countries in October this year, compared to $9.2 million for the same period last year.
