Two million signatures have been collected on a social network under a petition in support of Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili. According to the founder of the Patriots movement Giorgi Mazniashvili, signatures were collected within two weeks.

Some 5161 reviews were registered under "comments" on the petition, one to thirty surnames written in each review.

Along with this, a few hours before the movement issued a statement reporting the petitions results, a cyber-attack was made on the petition's and the Patriots' webpage.

"Our movement claims that recalculating the results of signature collection for a petition will be impossible due to this attack. We are calling to stop such actions," the statement said.
