The head of Rospotrebnadzor, chief sanitary inspector of Russia, Gennady Onishchenko said that Russia may lift its ban on the import of bottled wine from Georgia, but maintain the embargo on wine materials for some period, Interfax reported.
"We do not want imported wine ingredients at the initial stage. Such deliveries may provide opportunities for fraud," Onishchenko told Interfax on Friday.
"The ban may be lifted from the supply of bottled wine though," he said.
